Jo and Nick’s wedding took place in and around Wimborne with a church ceremony at St Stephen’s in Pamphill followed by a reception at Deans Court.
We met up with both the Groom and Bridal Party in Wimborne as Nick was staying at The Gate House on the Deans Court estate. Jo, her Mum and Bridesmaids had their hair and make-up done by the Clarins ladies just around the corner from here at The Beauty Centre.
The Bridal Party did a spot of wedding prepping in the morning after an impromptu photo session with some Vikings setting up camp in the grounds of Wimborne Minster. Then it was time for Brunch before getting dressed for the ceremony.
Morning nerves on the Bride’s side were well and truly settled just before leaving when a panicked call from the Groom revealed he was stuck at The Gate House after thinking the Bridal Car was also coming to pick him up! Luckily, everything was so close this was more funny than it was a planning hiccup and it only meant hanging fire for a few minutes whilst the Groom got to the front of the church.

Abi and Andy’s day took place in the grounds of Deans Court and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting for a still and warm Summer’s Day.
Opting for the excellent Celebrant, Diana Saxby to conduct the ceremony meant the wedding could take place outdoors with guests facing the lake.
Abi got ready just a stone’s throw away at Deans Court’s own Georgian , 7-bedroom Gate House. It was a real treat to be able to explore this place in the morning, having eyed it up several times at other weddings and whilst pottering around the Squash Court – it’s a wonderful place.
The wedding breakfast and evening took place in the marquee kitted up with lovely rustic details, polished off by a superb ‘Naked Cake’ from Miss Ingredient and classic, pretty flowers from Jen Poynter.
We’d got a little insight into the decor of the wedding ahead of the day as Ian also designed Abi and Andy’s on-the-day Swash and Fold stationery.
Here are some photos from their day…

Claire and Simon went for a French take on their wedding with plenty of rustic details, a Tour de France table plan, a pretty little bike and delicious crepes for their evening food.
There really was no need to go over to Provence for their day.. the weather in Wimborne was blinding and with the musical accompaniment of the excellent Jonny Hepdir you could easily convince yourself you were in Southern France.
Most of the day took place at Deans Court, apart from a church ceremony at Wimborne Minster.
As well as a seamlessly flowing reception service at Deans Court from Jonathan and his team, Claire and her bridal party got ready at the Apple and Plum cottages on site. Meanwhile, Simon and his groomsmen had some morning refreshments at the Squash Court, conveniently a short stroll away from the Minster.

Sophie and Paul’s wedding took place in Wimborne on a changeable Spring day.
Their ceremony was held at St Stephen’s Church in Pamphill followed by a reception at Deans Court.
Although for the most part the day was warm and sunny there was a constant threat of a Thunderstorm and there were a few downpours and as the reception went on, some dramatic rumbles. It was quite fitting really as Sophie’s Parents also got married during a dramatic lightning storm at the same church.
