We were delighted to start our New Year by joining Rachel & Matt for their wedding at The Bell Inn near Lyndhurst, Hampshire.
Close family and friends had travelled far to celebrate their day with Rachel & Matt with plenty hopping across the pond from Boston, US to join in the fun (and make a good effort in wiping Ringwood Brewery out of Forty-niner Ale).
The ceremony took place at 3pm, so after a leisurely time getting ready in the rooms upstairs (the wedding party had exclusive use of the entire place) we had to keep things super speedy after the ceremony to have any chance of photos outside (and so the Bride and Groom could make it back in time for their surprise choir during the drinks reception). Luckily, we’d already had a chance to scout out a little spot nearby a short walk away and did a little prep ahead to make it look a bit more sparkly.
With the night drawing in early the pub was a great place to batten down the hatches, light the candles and have a cosy night in with good grub and dancing.

Kirsten & Duncan’s Back Garden Wedding was a spectacularly thoughtful day, with so many beautiful DIY touches and a real festival feel.
A paddock next to the Groom’s Mums house was cleared to play host to an impressive marquee. Being extra resourceful this grass was transformed into hay bales for guests to sit and enjoy the warm Summer’s Day under the shade of an apple tree.

The day started with Kirsten and her bridal party getting ready at their home in Somerton before heading towards Glastonbury for a wedding at St Mary’s and All Saint’s Church in Meare. The very church Kirsten’s Mum and Dad also got married in.
They definitely didn’t have the same vicar though as Kirsten and Duncan’s Wedding was his first!
After a spot of confetti guests then made the drive over to Low Ham near Langport to spend the rest of the day eating ice creams, playing ping pong, darts and dancing.
At one point in the day we headed off to a nearby Orchard which Kirsten and Duncan had asked permission for us to take some photos in.
The marquee was really something special – bright but cosy, helped along by good honest grub provided by Pieminister.… Read Full Post
Hannah and Tom’s wedding took place on their family Dairy farm in Emborough, Somerset. Well, technically, their wedding was held in the (now retired) The Blessed Virgin Mary church, but you could be forgiven for thinking this was in the farm. It’s so close to the farm house you could invite the vicar in for tea by shouting out of the window.
Having sought special permission to hold their ceremony in the church, the marquee was set up at the front of the farm house, packed full of beautiful flowers and was carefully put together by the co-ordinator for the day, Steph from Sweet and Pretty.
We had worked closely with Tom and Hannah before the wedding as Ian (with his Swash and Fold hat on) designed the Invitations, Orders of Service, Menus and Table Settings stationery. I also spent some time hand-lettering the table names and other titles, which Ian then incorporated into the design. It was lovely to be able to see it all being used and photograph it on the day.
There was a fun, country fete feel to this wedding with an energetic Ceilidh for evening entertainment and hay bales to lounge on in the evening whilst guests tucked into Pulled Pork Rolls from Hannah and Tom’s very own Good Life Pork Co.… Read Full Post
Alex and Kate travelled down from their home in Yorkshire for a mid-week extravaganza wedding in Bibury, The Cotswolds.
The wedding ceremony and reception took place at Cripps Barn although the nearby Bibury Court Hotel played host to Kate’s wedding preps and a bunch of family and friends, including Alex, were staying at Cats Abbey Barn near Cheltenham.
There was a big DIY spin on this wedding with plenty of hand-crafted rustic details. So much thought was put into making it a special day for all their guests from cosy blankets to wonderful table settings and enviable mini suitcases full of treats for the kids. It was a bit too gloomy and damp to spend too much time outside but inside this really paid off as the day felt warm and welcoming.
On with the photos…
