Continuing on from Part One
Before we go much further we should give a big shout out and thank you to Melanie from Bellissimo Wedding and Events. Helen and Thomas took Melanie on as their wedding planner to help with both the preparations during the run-up to the wedding and on the day itself. She was like Wonder Woman. Not only did an amazing job helping to set up the Marquee at Studland Bay House, decorate the reception and put together a brilliant plan for the day she also saved the day when it came to broken toilets and acted as Toastmaster too. All whilst maintaining a level head and a good sense of humour. This was our first time working with a wedding planner and during that day alone she proved just how valuable they are. Cheers Melanie!
The Wedding Reception marquee was set up on the clifftop over looking the beach at Studland in the grounds of Studland Bay House and we had excellent views of Bournemouth and Poole. The water was sparking, the sky was blue and the bunting was plentiful.
There was a seaside-theme for the day and guests were able to sun themselves and check out the view with a stack of deckchairs.
The speeches were perfect. Emotional, funny and surprising. I’m still in awe at the fact that Helen and her sister, Louise were on Jim’ll Fix It. Jim helped fix it for them to design a new perfume and Helen’s Dad played the clip during his speech. It was so sweet!
After a jolly down on the beach for photos the evening party continued in the marquee. Here, the guests were entertained by the Grindelward Express and Thomas’ band (whose line-up included the Father of the Bride) Spank Box. They did a version of this. Brilliant.
