So, here we have it… our last wedding of 2012, which saw us working in Central London for Laura and Nick’s special day in Marylebone. They got married at Marylebone Town Hall with a party a short walk away at Home House. Being such a kind and thoughtful crowd, they really helped us end our year with a bang.
Things kicked off at the labyrinth that is Home House, a member’s club sprawled out across three different town houses in Portman Square. Here, Laura and her bridal party got ready in the morning. This was followed by a ceremony in the Purple Room at the Town Hall and onto a winter Pimms drinks reception back at Home House with dinner and dancing.
It was fantastic seeing everything come together for this day as we’d played a part in the preparations in more ways than one. Ian had helped Laura and Nick with both the invitations for the day and the table name cards too with his Swash and Fold hat on. And my sister drew the illustrations of Laura and Nick which featured as part of the decorations too. It made us feel all warm and fuzzy when we saw how they’d been lovingly put up on the winter wonderland tree, complete with London Christmas baubles. Very pretty and festive.
And speaking of pretty… Laura had a real floating fairytale of dress, courtesy of Suzanne Neville. The way it flowed as she moved around and spun was really magical.
Here are some of our favourites from their day…
Posted with thanks and congratulations to Laura and Nick x
We are absolutely delighted with the photographs – we’ve looked over them again and again… and again… and we’re so thrilled. Everything has been amazing from you both in the lead up and of course on the day too. We’ve had so many compliments (from the blog post alone) on how you’ve captured the day and all the different emotions. We couldn’t have hoped for a better lasting memory of our big day – thank you so much!
You and Ian take such pride in everything you do – every little detail over the months has been so well looked after. It really has been such an inspiring treat to work with you both and I almost feel a bit sad it’s coming to an end, but very happy we found you!
