We headed up to the Cotswolds for Abi and Will’s wedding at Cripps Stone Barn near Cheltenham
The weather was unforgiving - but what else do you expect on an early February day? It was cold, dark and damp and the mizzle set in for the day from the offset. But the interior makes this venue a gem, with big open kitchen fires roaring throughout the day and a canopy of stars filling the reception area to stay cosy under.
Rather than even contemplate doing anything outside we had already planned to do as much as we could inside in the short time we had after the ceremony - fitting in a confetti run, group shots and portraits of the Bride and Groom in before the wedding breakfast. We totalled nine minutes taking photos outside, which in freezing temperatures, I see as a triumph.

We’ve been lucky enough to head to the Cotswolds for winter weddings on many occasions now. It’s a really fitting place and suits the season
Abi & Will are getting married at Cripps Stone Barn in Cheltenham at the start of February and we headed up to have a scout around with them.
It was busy with lots of people scoping out the place to get married themselves and the weather was a little tricky, typically tipping it down as soon as we started - but we’re not bothered if that happens on the day. There’s so much scope to snuggle in and keep toasty.

On Christmas week we made our way up to the Cotswolds to join Caroline and Matt for their wedding at The Kingscote Barn in Tetbury., Gloucestershire.
Christmas weddings are always really special. Everyone’s in the party mood, pleased to get out of the house and away from bad telly to see their friends and family.
Thankfully, the weather was a little kinder than their prep shoot a few weeks before. We stayed over in Tetbury the night before and the drive to the barn in the morning was really something special. The car was completely frozen shut but the frost on the hills and the sparkle of ice on such a beautiful sunny morning was what you’d hope for a wedding in the Cotswolds.
Being in a bit of a valley however, meant the venue was susceptible to freezing fog which rolled in later on in the day (we didn’t take a smoke machine). It went down to a bitter -3 degrees centigrade but Caroline and Matt were keen to get outside for photos and were real troopers. The mulled wine on offer was really just the ticket.
Doing things a little differently, Caroline and Matt wanted a more intimate ceremony with just close family and friends without sacrificing a bigger party later on in the day.… Read Full Post
We spent a lovely sunny Monday up in the Cotswolds for Natasha and Hayden’s wedding at Cripps Barn. Blue skies and dry ground meant they were able to have the outdoor ceremony they were hoping for out in the Glade with the rest of the celebrations taking place in the Barn.
We started the day by meeting up with both of them as they got ready for their day. Natasha was at Bibury Court and Hayden and his Groomsmen had stayed over at The New Inn.
We loved the summer berry colour of the flowers which filled the Barn and were put together by Beth at Go Wild Flowers. The lattice board table plan and the jam jar table favours gave everything a picnic feel.
