Jane and Carl’s Wedding at Parley Manor, Dorset – Part One

Jane and Carl travelled all the way from Sydney, Australia to hold their wedding with family and friends at Parley Manor in Dorset.

When they started planning their late September wedding the fact the UK would be shedding its leaves for Autumn was taken into account. There was quite a bit of discussion via email and Skype between Jane and I over potentially rainy, chilly days and what we’d do if the weather turned nasty. I’d also spent most of the couple of weeks before freaking out I hadn’t been able to find any suitable work boots after working for months in sandals.

That day the weather in Bournemouth soared up to a sweltering 26-degrees! It was H.O.T. I soon found out it was too warm for boots anyway.

The bride and groom spent the morning in Bournemouth, with Jane getting ready at The Green House Hotel and Carl and his groomsmen prepping at Urban Beach.

After a morning of make-up and bridesmaids being taught how to Moon Walk by the flower girls we all made our way to Parley Manor by Camper Van. Here, the wedding took place sheltered from the boiling sun in its own dedicated ceremony marquee.
